Interested In Starting Wrap business

I'm really interested in starting a wrap business. Is there any turnkey solution to get started which would include hands on training?

Also, what is an average cost to wrap a vehicle the size of a nissan altima on the consumers end?
Who much would the materail cost for that wrap?

Typically wrap businesses evolve from existing sign/print companies expanding their product/service line.
A good design is key to a good wrap. If the same person is not doing both, they need to be in good communication.
If you are starting from scratch, expect to pay 30-40k for equipment, software and training just to get your feet wet.
There are some very good wrap schools across the country (I think there is one in Vegas), or speak to vendors about having manufacturers do one-day classes at their facity.
Retail price will vary depending on the market. Some shops are getting 3-5k to wrap a small car, others charge 2500 for a cargo van.

The best "AFFORDABLE" way to learn for starters is get the 2 Instructional DVD's from realwraps.com. There's thewraptutor.com as well but for the same price, you can get 2 far superior dvd's from realwraps. Then practice on your own vehicle for starters. And some friends too. It will cost you about $600 in vinyl for a couple cars. Not to mention a $20K Printer and producion area. The Computer and graphics programs will run you about $2,500. Then you decide on liquid lamination or cold lamination...that will dictate whether or not you get a cold laminator $3,000 to $12,000. Also, depending on where you live, the weather will play a huge part in installation. If you don't have a large garage or bay, you may only be able to wrap in the summer , not in adverse conditions. Basically, it's not the kind of business you want to just start up. You may have too much local competion as well. If you are not around a major Metropolitan area, forget about it.
Maybe just focus on being an installer for now and ordering the vinyl from an established company. Then you don't have to worry about the startup and all that. A great resource for this info is Justin Pate's interviews on YOUTUBE.
